A couple of months ago, and in a moment of uncertainty, I asked myself a series of questions about my life.
And just as usual, I opened my journal and started writing. But this time it felt different. It didn’t feel like it was me who’s writing, it felt like I was just scripting words that were streamed to me by an invisible wisdom.
I know this sounds crazy, but I got 100% certain that this experience was real when I read the journal entry from start to finish. It didn’t sound like me!
It carried a wisdom I didn’t have at that moment. An eye-opening wisdom. And that’s why I’m sharing it here with you in hope it inspires someone.
Here’s what I wrote:
***
Good morning, Journal. Good morning, guardian angels and spirit guides, and thank you.
Last night my thoughts took me to a place that felt desperate, and I realised I was coming from a place of scarcity and fear. Therefore, I decided I needed to re-centre and get more clarity on my life.
Today I’m grounding myself to anchor it; to know where I really belong and what I really want out of life.
What’s my life all about? [Here’s where the inspiration kicks in…]
Like everyone on this earth, my life’s purpose is to grow and transcend higher to the point where I know who I really am: A piece of God. And to understand how whole and complete I am. What happens in the course of my life are only events and experiences that help me get to the realisation that:
- I’m already whole
- I already have all I need
- there’s nothing to be attached to, nothing to lose, because this life is designed to get you where you need to go.
It’s exactly like a computer game. That includes: the people, the places, the events. Everything will manifest in a way to get you to where you need to be at the end. The different faces, environments, experiences and everything else are just externally different but they’re energetically the same. That’s why attachment to something or someone doesn’t really make sense.
What’s my role here? What is it I am supposed to do?
In reality, nothing! You don’t need to do anything except be present trust and surrender.
Again: Be present… trust… and surrender.
These may seem difficult, but in reality they are the natural state of a human. The ego comes to interrupt this natural state by driving the mind back-and-forth in time. Creating worry, anxiety, sadness and basically driving you away from the present moment.
If you get to the point where you trust God, tawakkol in Islam, you know that what’s happening outside is just there for you and no one else.
Everything… EVERY. SINGLE. THING. Will recalibrate itself to get you to where you need to be. As you move along in life, your decisions might be aligned with your truth or might be unaligned. But it doesn’t really matter. Life will recalibrate, just like a game.
The thing is, the more you are in your mind, the longer the delay is for you to get to where you’re destined to be. That’s because you’re interfering. You’re interrupting the flow of the story by trying to change or control things. You need to let things unfold on their own. That’s when you 100% know that everything is going according to divine plan.
Trusting (tawakkol), surrender (tasleem).
Another thing you need to do is just enjoy this journey and find out what you like out of it and do more of that. Do more of what supports your natural state. The more focused you are on what makes you happy the easier the flow will occur and the faster the journey will unfold.
And even if the thing you desire in the future doesn’t happen right away, you’re already enjoying life, already on the right path right now where you are. You already have a clear idea of what you like and what you want and you’re already doing these things. Just do more of what you like and be you.
You’ll find out at the right time what things you will need to adjust, change, realise, heal from etc. It will all come to you.
So what are the next steps just to summarise?
- Be present: bring your mind and your heart to the now as much as possible.
- Trust God: fully know he’s got you covered and remember him always.
- Surrender: let go of everything; any form of control and just be; watch.
- Enjoy what you like: continue to live life as you like, do more of your joy.
PETS: we are all God’s pets; live like one.
P: presence
E: enjoyment
T: trust
S: surrender
